The course aims to acquaint students with the understanding of the basic principles of educational research (introduction to the methods and techniques of qualitative and quantitative methodology), but also with the basic concepts of learning theories and modern pedagogical approaches. As part of the course, students will study relevant articles and texts, come in contact with different methodological approaches and practice designing and conducting a small-scale educational research, analyzing the data and writing a research paper.
In the first period of the course, all participants, with relevant support from the teachers, should:
In the context of the second period, there will be a brief presentation of each proposal with reference to the literature, the research question and the research hypothesis, as well as the research tool(s) that will be used. More personalized edits will then be made to each of the submitted topic suggestions. These courses may also be held in smaller groups depending on the needs as they arise.
After gathering the data relevant to the research topics, there will be support for the analysis of the research data and the writing of the final paper.
