Afroditi Nikolaidou is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and teaches Audiovisual production, TV Aesthetics, TV Production, Art and Documentary and Introduction to Film Studies. She has co-edited several volumes on Greek cinema and culture among them Athens: World Film Locations (with Irini Sifakiand Anna Poupou, Intellect, 2014) and Apo ton proimo ston sihrono elliniko kinimatografo (From the Early to Contemporary Greek Cinema: Methodology, Theory, History) (with Maria Paradeisi, Dardanos, 2017). She recently co-edited (in Greek and English) with Dimitris Papanikolaou a publication on Greek cinema and co-curated with Elina Psykou, Dimitris Papanikolaou and Syllas Tsoumerkas Motherland, I See You, a year-long public screening, film preservation and publication project, organized by the Hellenic Film Academy.
