Electra Venaki is a film editor, a researcher and lecturer in many Academic establishments in Greece. She is the founder and general director of www.altcine.com, (2012) a platform dedicated to Balkan cinema. She is currently writing her PhD dissertation on “The Use of Digital Sound in Balkan Art Films: Industry and aesthetics in the New Millennium”, at the UlB University, in Brussels. She is currently a Project Manager of the New Film Restoration Lab of the Greek Film Archive. From 2016 to 2017, she served as General Director of the Greek Film Centre.
